I went twice for lunch at Auberge Etchegorry. It is located in a quiet street along the little Rene Le Gall park. Weather permitting, they will set up tables outside. This unpretentious restaurant is one of the friendliest places I have been to in Paris, and the food is absolutely delicious. They have a (2 or 3 courses) set menu for lunch which we selected for both visits. Both the entree (mini squids and ham cooked in a tomato based sauce) and the main (duck breast) were perfectly cooked. The duck was almost melting in my mouth! I did not share the desert but was told it was excellent. I had a carafe of good wine; they have a reasonable wine list. After our lunch, we were offered a glass of Armagnac. Really enjoyed my lunch! Made me wish I lived in Paris and return there often!
